Hadyai BiKE Week

HATYAI BIKE WEEK took place last weekend on 6 - 8 July in Hatyai. It was the first Hatyai Bike event & it was grand as MALAYSIAN TOURISM board together with the Hatyai commitee & Songkla mayor poured in their support to make this event a success. It was to also promote PEACE. That's why this was also known as the RIDE FOR PEACE bike fest. It was one heck-of-a screemin-eagle fun party

ThE EAgLE has LanDeD

It had been 3 long trecherous months of hunting for something i had wanted back for such a long time. It all started after the ride to Krabi in Jan. I was the only superbiker amongst the sea of coppers (Harleys & other jap copers) on the ride for Krabi Bike Fest. And on my way back i had already decided if im gonna go for the next bike festin thailand, it has got to be on my own Harley. Its then that i could no longer rest in peace. I pretty much didnt even let my buddies rest in peace. Untill the day came last week when they finally tracked down a machine just waiting for me in Muar.... a HARLEY DYNA LOW.

There was no looking back form the very moment i set my eye on her... it was a beauty..

And exactly a week to the day i forst say her, i just had to bring her home...

here's Harley meeting Storm for the first time..

they made friends fast...

N now its truly Live to ride & Ride to Live

Krabi BiKe fest

Its been quite a while since i blogged. Well 2007 has been the most exciting year so far with so many exciting things & events happening. Letme start with the best biking event i rode to with my buddies last Feb - the KRABI BIKE FEST in Krabi, Thailand. It was pure bliss ridding the 1000 km form KL to Krabi to party with fellow bikers form thailand, singapore, malaysia, usa & phillipines. There we almost 200 odd bikes there. Here're some of the pics...

the Gang...

10 December - Track Day in Sepang Circuit

Its been a long time since i last visited the tracks with my buddies. In fact it had been almost 3 weekends that i hadent gone riding oso. But finally open track day was here again after there being none in Nov.

A little bit bout Sepang circuit - the circuit layout:

Track Data
Course Length: 5.543km
Course Width: 16 - 25m
Longest Straight: 927.543m

It was a wonderfully clear n sunny morning that Sunday. God was really kind to us that day as it has been raining almost every morning, but today, the day was perfect. It was a wonderful ride to the track with high speed long sweepers, straights & also fast corners. Its was great getting back on the road with the gang after a long absence. We got to the tracks at about 9.30am after a stop for breakfast n fuelling.

When we got there the track had already been open n by-golly!!!! There were sooooo many bikes there! The last count was a stagerring 170 bikes! Thats the most i've ever seen on track day.

A view in the pits

Track day typically lasts from 9am to 12pm. U pay RM100 to get onto the track. U must be well geared n ur machine in proper condition n setting to get the best of ur track day. Normally on an open track day, u get all types of bikers form real racers to newbe's and first-timers. But the golden rule to remember is - RIDE AT UR OWN (reasonably fast) PASE. Its a race track after all where the likes of Valentino Rossi & Nicky Hayden do up to 300kph on the straights n 180's on the fast corners.

Turn 2 - slow low right (40 - 80kph)

Me Approaching turn 2

Ops! 5 in... but oli 4 out - 1 down...

Hardcore knee-down action...

I tried to click...

I tried to take a pic of a dog with my Ye Old Faithful camera and this is what happened....

Then i tried to take a pic of Nature and this is what happened...

Then i tried taking a pic of a SUperHero in action...

But this is what this fellow did to my camera. SO there'll be no more clicking on that old faithful no more....

i want one click click...

The One & Only reason i cant update my site is cos i dont have any pics to go with my stories. I currently do not have a camera nor a CAMERA PHONE to click click interesting things. I tried getting one video cam last week... but was out auctioned on the price. then i went to get a camera phone and even paid for it, but had to reverse the sale cos the dealer decided to act too smart and wanted to pull a bull wt me. Then i visited a camera fare and....aaah! i give up...tooooo many choices!!!! So for now i'll just try to take some shots with my existing camera....

Cari Makan RIde

Its been some time now since I blogged about my weekend rides. Well, that’s cos I haven’t ridden with the gang for a while. My last ride was during the long Merdeka holidays. I rode solo from KL to Cameron Highlands where I spent a nite. Then off to Ipoh the next day. And then sped off to Penang for a couple of days before I headed back to KL. I remember clocking approximately 900 KM of riding pleasure that weekend & not to mention some interesting events as well.

Anyway, let me introduce my riding club. Our club’s called BRC (Bad Rider Club) – nope it neither depicts our riding nor our attitude!!! Its just welllll…. Our club. N here are some of the gang >

Last weekend was not exactly our typical weekend ride meet. The weather wasn’t what we would call very ride friendly that Sunday morning. We met up around 8.30am at the Sungai Buloh R&R for breakfast and the gang arrived slowly till we were quite sure that no one else was about to show up anymore. Then around 10.30, the rain had pretty much stopped but the roads were still wet for us to really enjoy the winding roads. So instead, we decided to call this weekend a “Cari Makan Ride” to Kuala Selangor seafood village.

So off we headed for Kuala Selangor via the windy scenic old road till we arrived at our destination – Hai Ung Seafood Restaurant. I think we were rather early for lunch as there was no other customers there when we arrived.

The restaurant is located over the Kuala Selangor river and overlooks the lush green jungle across – its quite a relaxing and serene view

The ride back was quite a wet ride and as the windy roads heading back are narrow and get very slippery when it rains, we were at our best behavior to get back safe & sound. I got home around 2pm. Just in time for a quick shower n to to catch the World Motor GP.

A historic MoMent

Date: 10 September, 2006
Time: 11:03:11sec GMT

I was travelling in the LRT on my way to Masjid India for lunch n my mobile phone beeps a message just as it was passing the Telecom building in Pantai. The message originated from the transidential settings of the Ashby Road Gurdwara darbar while in the midst of a couple being united in matrimony.

N the message just read.... "June 2008 k?"....

What did this mean? Find out next in this exciting journey.....to infinity n beyond!
